The ThermoPro company asked me to try their TheremoPro TP 19 and write about them. As always I told them I would write an honest and unbiased review.

They call it the ThermoPro TP19 digital waterproof instant-read meat thermometer, and I have tested it to make sure that it is what they claim.

What is in the box

First, I have to mention that the box was very sturdy and looked very nice.

The content was nicely packed and contained the following.

  • Thermometer
  • Screwdriver
  • Battery
  • Manual

What was also in the box was a card with all the customer service numbers from ThermoPro for many countries.

What I liked

Sturdy

The first thing I noticed is how sturdy the thermometer feels. It has a nice feeling and feels good in my big hands.

Display

The second thing is the fact that the display will turn 180 degrees. Just as on your phone. This is, in my opinion, a very big plus.

No need to try to read the display upside down or change hands to use it.

Auto-off function

I am famous for not turning things off and my handheld thermometer is no exception. So, the fact that it turns off after 90 seconds is for me a battery saver.

The technical stuff

Here is a list of all the technical stuff of the ThermoPro TP19.

  • -58 – +572 degrees Fahrenheit temperature range
  • Button for lock/Celsius/Fahrenheit
  • Temp accuracy +/- 0.9 degrees
  • Built-in magnet

Waterproof

The website mentioned that it is 100% waterproof, and I tested that, of course. Submerged in water with no problems. I just could not find that it was waterproof in the manual.

ThermoPro TP19 Review – My Experience

I have used the ThermoPro TP19 digital thermometer many times, as part of my BBQ thermometer reviews, and here you can read what I think of it.

The fact that you don’t have to turn it off by hand is a very nice feature. All you have to do is close the tip, and it will turn off. I still like to wipe it off between uses.

The 180-degree turning of the display is something that will probably save me from getting burned or burning the hair on my arms. Very easy to use for right and left-handed.

We are all obsessed with speed and like to see instant temperature readings. I don’t know if the ThermoPro TP19 is faster, but I think it reads very fast.

The thermometer comes with a built-in magnet, and I store mine on the side of the refrigerator.

ThermoPro TP19 calibration is well described in the manual and should give no problems.

The funny thing was that I told my son about the TP19, and he told me he uses that brand for his digital probe thermometer.

My son is very picky about the things he uses on his grill, so this is an extra endorsement.

Overall, I am very happy with the ThermoPro TP19 and am sure that I will keep using it for a long time.
