What Is ButcherBox?

Butcher Box is a meat delivery service and they collect their meat directly from local farms that raise finished and grass-fed beef, organic free-range chicken, heritage pork, as well as Alaska Salmon which was hunted down in the scary wild. After they collect their meat they take very good care of it before delivery. They pack meats very safely and freeze them so that customers can get fresh and the Finest quality meat.

They always make sure to deliver meat in their frozen state to customers to ensure the best quality.

If I talk about their plan, They have a monthly based subscription that will deliver your desired meat box to your house, around a particular time each month.

They always make sure that every ounce of meat they collect is from those animals which are raised naturally, take good care, have no hormones or antibiotics, and do have high quality.

The method they follow to regulate the standard of their facilities is by Dr. Temple Grandin. He was one of the scientific committee members of the farm animal care program.

To ensure their quality remains best all the time they go through regular inspection and approval by USDA or any agency that has equal jurisdiction.

Later on, I will explain about their meat boxes and from there you can make your choice.

What Is The Cost Of A ButcherBox?

Before we begin you must know that the Butcherbox is not some cheap meat. Their meat quality is high as well as their price. Because good things come at a good price. If you compare them with their local supermarket where you can find cheap meat which is an outcome of a mass operation, you will be disappointed.

You must keep in mind that all the meat supplied by Butcher Box is raised in nature and normally without any kind of Antibiotic or vitamins. As the animals aren’t raised using any antibiotics or vitamins they grow very slowly and time means a lot to every farmer.

Let’s discuss the price with the cost of this for one meal. Remember the price of these meats can be changed any month or season. This was the price when I was writing this:

Pros & Cons Of ButcherBox

Butcher Box is a service that provides natural and best quality meats. Everybody can’t afford to get meat from the Butcher box.

If it is possible for you to get amazing quality pork, naturally raised animal beef, and free-range chicken then it would be a lot cheaper for you.

You can only realize the true value of the Butcher box if you consider the time factor.

Using the Butcher box you will be amazed by their quality. If you look for yourself to find this quality meat you will have to stop at a specialized butcher or health store.

I have observed that the price difference between the Butcher box and any local meat shop is very high. Local meat stores may have a lower price compared to the Butcher box. But you can find this quality meat in your local shop or supermarket. So it will be wise not to compare Butcher Box with local meat shops.

After I subscribed to the Butcher box I didn’t want to go to my local meat shops. Shopping in the local stores for meat is time-consuming. I prefer my meat to be delivered to my doorsteps instead of looking into different stores to find the best quality.

The packaging of the Butcher box is really good. But there is some chance of the box getting damaged after being shipped for delivery. Though I didn’t hear that often. If you have this situation you can simply expect to get a good replacement or credit your account.

The box you choose could contain less meat than you need for one month but you can set how often you want your box to be delivered.

Pros:

  • High and fresh quality meat.
  • Convenient service.
  • Time saver
  • Very tasty meat.

Cons:

  • High price.
  • Chance of getting a damaged box.
  • Packaging material.

Normally I would have ended this review but there are still many things that you need to know about this meat delivery service.

FAQs Regarding Butcher Box

People ask too many questions about the Butcher box. Now I am going to answer some of the most common ones.

From Where Do They Collect Their Meat?

I have already described, where the Butcher Box collects all its meats. For emphasis’ sake, I will do that again. Butcher box collects all their meat from local farms. The farm is selected very carefully. They only select the farm which raises their pigs, cows, and chickens naturally and without any kind of vitamins or artificial medicine.

It is simply a fact that animals can not be raised with the help of any artificial medicine. It should be natural, roaming, and eating natural food.

Who delivers the box?

FedEx is used by the Butcher box for delivery. So you don’t need to be around unless it doesn’t require a signature.

This gives you more time cause you know you don’t have to do anything but receive the meat.

How long does delivery take?

Well, It depends on you whether it’s your first order or not.

If it’s your first order after your order it will take an average of 2-3 days to prepare your box and get ready to ship.

If it’s not your first order then as soon as you give them a reminder they will start preparing your box within 1 day and 2-3 days to have the meat box.

After everything, It will not take more than 3-5 working days for you to get your order sent to you. Each month you order you will get a fixed time meanwhile you better check your email for order confirmation and delivery location.

What is the arrival condition of meat?

Butcher boxes always ship all their boxes to the owner in their frozen state. But if the delivery is delayed or the weekend starts before the delivery you might not get it frozen. Though they pack the box with plenty of dry ice. So there is a minimum chance of getting the meat not frozen.

Is Butcher box grass-fed?

Yes. I can safely call them grass-fed. The farms that Butcher box uses to collect its meat and raises its animals in a natural way. They don’t feed anything artificial. Animals live very normal and natural lives on the farm instead of forcing them into smaller spaces.

Is the butcher box worth the money?

Well, it depends on your situation. If you can afford to buy grass-fed finished meat so why will you buy some cheap quality meat which you don’t know came from where. In my opinion, it’s worth every cent.

It will also save you time and effort to move from one shop to another to find meat.

Can you pause, cancel, or change your butcher box?

Yes, you can. You can suspend your butcher box membership for 6 months anytime you want. If you decide to cancel everything, do that before the next billing starts.

The same rules are applied if you want to change your meat box. Do that before the next billing.
