There has been a recent update to these thermal blankets and they perform even better now.
The built-in magnets (not in all models) will keep the blanket very well attached to your Z-grill.

Z Grills Thermal Blanket – My opinion
I have been reading for over an hour to try to find some negative opinions about these Z grills thermal insulation blankets but was not able to find any of them.
I did, however, found hundreds of very positive reviews on many websites.

I have found several times in my research that with or without the Z-Grills thermal blanket there was a 25 degrees difference in temperature. With the older controllers, the setting had to be adjusted.
With the new PID controller that was not necessary of course.
Overall I think that when you are planning on using your Z-Grill on cooler nights or during the wintertime it is a great investment to use a thermal blanket.
I even believe that in the long run, you might save on pellets that it will pay by themselves.
The only complaint is that sometimes they are sold out and you have to pre-order your Z-grills thermal blanket.
I think that the reason for that is that Z-grills are becoming very popular due to the great price, quality, and performance combination.
