I had a good look at the Z Grills 600 series on the Z-Grills website and all the models. Not just the models they had already but also the newly added 6oo series models.
Z- Grills 600D3E
This one is also known under the name Flame Elite 600d3e

I had a good look at what they had to say about the flame elite 600d3e that is also known as the L600E pellet grill.
This model offers an open flame and they claim it can reach up to 750 degrees. That is more than enough for searing your meat.
This burner is placed in the middle of the grill.
One of the biggest upgrades is the fact that it comes with a fan. Just like some of the higher-rated convection ovens and this opens a whole new range of cooking options.
Features of the 600D3E
- 8 cooking options
- Upgraded PID controller
- Storage
- Side shelf
- Caster wheels.
- 8 pound hopper capacity
- Stainless steel lid
The total grill surface is 572 square inches but is divided into 332 sq inches lower rack and 249 sq inches at the upper rack.
Z Grills L600D
The Z grills L600D comes basically with the same feature so I am not going to repeat them.

Difference between 600d3e and L600d
The 600d3e is also known as the L600E model and that is a little confusing in my opinion.
The difference between the two is that the 600d3e comes with a stainless steel lid. The L600d comes with a powder-coated steel lid.
Z Grills L6002E

This is the upgrade 2021 model with the Ultimate flame features. This offers just like to ones above the option to grill over direct heat.
Let’s have a look at what this Z grills model has to offer.
- 572 square inches grill surface
- 750 degrees direct cooking
- Porcelain-coated grill grates
- 8 pound hopper capacity
- Bottom storage shelf
The burner for direct grilling is set in the middle of the grill.
You can read my Z Grills L600E review to see if this is the one you are looking for.
Difference between 6002e and L6002b
Just as the other ones the difference is again the used material for the lid. The L6002b comes with a steel powdered coated lid and the l6002e has a stainless steel lid,
Z Grills 6002B2

This is the new model for 2021 and just like the others in the Z-Grills 6000 series comes with the direct flame feature.
The features of the 6002b2 are the same as the other models and I am not repeating them here.
The used material is a heavy gauge steel
Z Grills 600 Series Review – My Opinion
After reading through all the different models and the features they come with I think this series is very suited for a regular-size family with its 573 square inches grill area.
This area is divided into the upper rack of 240 sq. inches and the lower rack of 332 sq. inches.
What I like is the option of the open flame or what Z-grill calls “direct flame searing” this gives the option for direct grilling. Although on a small area.
It was hard to find information on the searing temperature. I found people who mentioned it gets pretty hot and others did say it is not hot enough. So, I have to dig deeper to give any recommendation on that.
Compared to the many Z-Grills I reviewed here on Better Grills I think this is a model that I would place in the middle range.
it seems to me that the number in the modes is also related to the features. Although, I think they are all of good quality.
The PID controller works soo much better than the older controllers. They are accurate and keep the temperature in a nice range.
I will probably review all the models on a different page to provide you with more information on the Z-Grills 600 series.
