The Weber q 2400 electric grill review shows this electric grill is basically the same as the old 240 models.
There are mainly some new cosmetic features like a larger grip handle and control knob and new shaped side handles on the Weber Q 2400 electric grill
The Weber company is famous for its quality grills and claim that all or at least most components are made in the USA.

I hope I can give you all the information you need to find out if the Q-2400 is the grill you need.
Grill surface of the Weber Q 2400 electric grill
This grill has an effective cooking space of 280 square inches.
Wich is large enough for a family of 4 – 6 people if you take into consideration that you need 72 square inches for each person if you also cook vegetables.
For just burgers, hotdogs, or even steaks you can grill for more people of course.
Material of the grate
Porcelain enameled cast iron grates.
The cast iron will retain the heat and gives a more even temperature. This is one of my favorite materials for grill grates.
Features of this grill
- Aluminum lid and body
- 6 foot grounded cord
- 1560 watts
- 280 sq inches cooking area
- fully assembled
- infinite heat control setting

Customer Reviews of the Weber q 2400
“Steaks have come out heavenly. But bone-in chicken, wow. Moist, crisp, tender, juicy.
I put it perhaps a little past medium-high as recommended for the chicken but it came out great.
The steaks were on high and so juicy….”
“This compact electric grill is perfect for urban dwellers who can’t use charcoal on a balcony or small porch area.
The amount of smoke and debris is minimal and quite frankly, it does a really nice job of evenly cooking my culinary projects.
I’ve grilled all kinds of meat: tri-tip, hot dogs, lamb chops, burgers, and of course the occasional veggie as well.
Nothing has disappointed me yet!…(read more about what they wrote about the Weber Q 2400: Here!)”

Pros & Cons of the Weber Q2400
- Portable, easy on the camping, large enough for 4-6 people.
- Easy to clean, take out the metal grill and wash the bottom in your sink. The grill is fully assembled and great for apartments, balconies, and where no propane allowed.
- For people who do not like charcoal and or propane gas, this is the solution.
- The removable catch pane for grease is a great pro.
- Manufacturer claims about all parts are made in the USA, but we have no way of finding out if this is true of course.
Even after searching on forums etc for about an hour, I could not find too many cons for the Weber q2400, but this is what we found.
- The price can be seen as a con, but then I also have to mention that this grill probably lasts a lot longer than a cheaper brand.
- One gourmet cook mentioned that cooking on low was not too good, but this was based on one experience so maybe a learning curve he said.
- Being an electric grill means it not as portable as gas or charcoal-fueled grills, which can be a little problem on the campground maybe.
- Some mentioned the lack of a thermometer in the lid as a con
It does a good job and most users are pretty happy with this Weber q 2400 portable grill. This is a great Electric grill for a balcony or small patio.

Weber Q2400 Electric Grill Review – Summary
The Weber Q2400 review is one of the many electric grill reviews I have done. I looked at the Weber website and many electronic websites, Forums, and other sources and I have to be honest. There are not many reasons to find in all the comments I read not to give this grill a high recommendation.
Maybe the attached price tag is a little high as mentioned in the cons section.
However, if this grill lasts longer this price is just merely a personal choice. Also, remember that you get what you pay for. This grill cost about 300 dollars do not expect a 100 dollar grill to deliver the same quality and results.
I had the chance to use this grill myself and I can only say that it works pretty well. After you give it the time to heat up by letting it cycle on and of a few times it gets pretty hot. Keeping the lid closed will keep the heat even better trapped.
Remember that an electric grill like this Weber Q2400 has a heating element that kicks in and of all the time. This that the temperature will fluctuate and will not stay constant as a gas or charcoal grill.
The 6-foot cord was in my test long enough to reach an outdoor 120 Volt outlet, but the use of a high-quality extension cord is a must if you have to need one.
The electricity use and cost of running one of these Weber are some of the things people wonder about.
The Q2400 is powered by 1560 Watts. Taken into consideration that the average price of electricity in the US is about 13 cents per Kilowatt this electric Weber will cost you roughly 20 cents per hour. That is when on all the time and since it cycles off and on it is probably even lower. Pretty cheap compared to charcoal or even propane gas.
Cleaning the Weber Q2400 grill grates is pretty easy with a standard grill brush because of the porcelain coating that is used on the grates. You can also remove the plates if you like to maybe use a pressure washer for cleaning or taking them to the sink.
The exact measurements of the grate are 20 x 14 inches and the height between grates and lid is 7 inches. Not enough to cook a chicken.
The body and lid are made of what is called cast aluminum and are used on most Weber’s and tested through time as being pretty good.
Although the Q2400 is a portable grill it weighs about 24 pounds and carrying it up to a flight of stairs might be hard.
I found a few people who missed a thermometer in the lid. I think those don’t work too well in most cases and I recommend having a look at a digital probe thermometer as I reviewed here. Remember however that temperature will go up and down all the time because the heating element kicks on and off. I would personally prefer to keep an eye on the internal temperature of the meat instead.
If you like to compare the Q2400 with the Q1400 I could only find a difference in the grill surface. 280 versus 189 square inches and about a price difference of about 50 dollars. 1400 might get a little hotter since it has the same 1560 Watts as the 2400 but heats up a smaller surface.
This Weber Q2400 is not advertised as an indoor grill and don’t use it that way. It will produce a lot of smoke and will probably set off your fire alarm
With all the available accessories and the quality of a Weber, I can recommend this Weber Q2400 grill as a good buy.
Start out with using it as a tabletop and then add the grill cart and cover or just start with all items together.
With 92 % of the people who took the time to write about their experience with this grill giving it a 4 or 5-star rating, we can recommend this as a good bang for your bucks.
