The Smoke Hollow 205 review shows this is a stainless steel tabletop propane gas grill with one U-shaped burner.
Reviewing it was not easy because of the variety of ratings and opinions about this grill.
Some people did not like it at all and others wrote some raving reviews about it.
I tried to see through all of them and give my honest opinion and a rating based on all the information I found.

Although I found some lower ratings for this grill I still think it might be a good grill for camping and I read that many people also used it in their RV trips.
Grill surface of the Smoke Hollow
Like always I like to know first how large the grill surface is because that decides how you can use it.
The main surface is 205 square inches and if you apply the 72 square inch rule, that you need 72 square inches per person, you can cook a full meal for 2 people.
For just hamburger, hotdog or steak, you can cook more of course.
Material of the grate
The material of the grate is something a lot of people underestimate. It is however where your food touches and goes on and thus important.
The main grill grate is made of stainless steel and this is a very common and good material for grill grates.
I could not find any problems with this material in the review I have been reading.
The so-called warming rack is chrome plated and although not meant for that I read that many people use it as a grill grate.

Customer Reviews of the Smoke Hollow 205
Going through the customer review is always my favorite thing to do.
The reason I do that is that there is where you find the best information, to form an opinion.
I found all together almost 1150 people who took the time to write about their experience with this tabletop grill.
I looked at the lower ratings and found a few things coming back a few times and one of them was that it did not come with all the parts it needed to assemble.
The other one I found was that it gets too hot. Well, it is a grill and that means in many cases they are not made to cook at a low temperature. I think some people missed that part and wrote that it is too hot.
One complaint was that cooking with the lid down made the temperature too high also. As I mentioned most of these types of grills are not made to cook that way and the temperature gauge is not of the best quality in these grills.
I also read some great things like that it is great for tailgating and camping.
The portability and easy to clean features were mentioned many times as very well.
Better Grills Rating: 4.0
Pros & Cons
Many readers like to see all the pros and cons in one place, and that is why I always include that in my reviews.
The Smoke Hollow 205 is no exception.
- Basically rust-free
- Easy to assemble
- Electronic ignition not that great
- Quality issues
- Came damaged
Smoke Hollow 205 review – My Opinion
After doing the Smoke Hollow205 review I can only say it is a kind of love or hate it type of grill.
There are definitely some quality issues with this grill but it is also a very affordable grill.
The stainless steel seems to be of good quality and that was mentioned several times.
There is the option to connect it to a 20 lbs propane tank with one of the propane gas adapter hoses I mention here.
There are some mentions about the regulator no working but that can also be one of the easy to solve gas regulator problems. like I wrote about.
Overall this is a nice portable tabletop propane gas grill and it can last a long time if you go past the first small problems that some users talk about.
With the temperature being a little high I can only recommend using one of the digital thermometers like the ones here to keep your eyes on the internal temperature of your meat.
I always recommend the use of a quality grill cove and I read that some of the Weber models fit pretty well.
Tips from real users

I hoped you enjoyed this Smoke Hollow 205 review and it will help you decide if this is the portable gas grill you need for your type of cooking and grilling.
However, do you know that I also wrote a Smoke Hollow pellet grill review on its own page for the pellet grill lovers?
