My Recteq RT-700 review shows it is one of the most sold pellet grills by this company.
Although I did a review on the Recteq Grill review page I decided to go a little further and add a lot more information about what people also call the Recteq rt 700.
Some information might be the same but there is a lot more information here.

As I mentioned earlier the RT-700 is one of the most popular models sold by the Recteq company and although I tried to find negative points I was not able to find a lot of them.
Grill surface of the Recteq rt 700
What I always like to know first is how much food I can put on a grill.
This is, in my opinion, one of the first things to look at when you are in the process of buying a grill.
The cooking grate is with 702 square inches large enough for at least 6 slabs of ribs or even a turkey, but with the optional second cooking shelf, you can add another 352 sq inches and total the space to 1054 square inches.
If you handle the average of 72 square inches per person that you need. You can see this is a pretty large pellet grill that you can use to cook for a large group of people.
Material of the grate
The grates are made of 1/4 inch 304 stainless steel rods that are easy to remove for cleaning.

This grade is not much used for grills and is of higher quality than most other pellet grill brands.
Features of this RT-700 Recteq
The Bull comes with a lot of features that I will discuss later but here is a list of the main ones to give you an impression of what it has to offer.
- Stainless steel cooking chamber
- 40 Lbs Hopper for long cooks
- Wi-Fi technology
- PID controller
- Dual meat probes
- 200-500F temp. range
- 702 square inches of cooking space
- optional second grate for increasing space to 1054 sq inches
The Recteq rt-700 weight was hard to find for me, but it is around 200 lbs. It’s just another point to show the high quality.
Assembly seems to be without too many problems although some mentioned that there are some improvements possible for the Rec Tec company there.
One of the new features of the RT 700 is the Recteq extreme smoke. It does this by oscillating (turning off/on) the fan. This provides you with the option to smoke at low temperatures of 180°F- 250°F ( 82°C – 121°C).
Not low enough for cold smoking but a nice feature.
The second feature I like is that it comes with a pair of meat probes to monitor the temperature of two different pieces of meat or other dishes you cook without having to use a separate digital probe thermometer.

Cons:
With a 5 stars rating, you will understand that we will not have too many cons.
What I could find doing this review was so minor that I actually did not even feel like mentioning them, but to be complete in my review I have to. Here are the few I could find
- Price
- Assembly
The Recteq Bull RT-700 – My Opinion
After doing the Recteq rt 700 wood pellet grill review you can find my opinion here.
With most 5-star ratings I found in the Recteq rt700 smoker review I can probably say that this is a good grill/pellet smoker.
The most positive remarks are about the quality of the material, the pretty easy assembling, and the customer service that has more very positive comments than I ever read.
The temperature controller is very accurate and although the Recteq company claims to stay within 5 degrees.
I have read many users stating that they stayed within 2 or 3 degrees with their temperature. The size of this pellet smoker makes it easy to cook a beer can chicken.
One complaint was about a little problem with the assembling and there should be a pilot screw for that.
I think I can live with these very minor problems since those were the only 2 cons I could find.
If you look at the Recteq rt 700 versus the 680 models that are discontinued, they have made some great improvements in this RT-700 model.
I read a lot of comments from people who were convinced never to buy a pellet grill and changed their minds after seeing or using a Rec Tec.
It was hard to find a lot of comments on some consumer websites, but a lot on the Rec Tec website, and although these might be a little higher rated I still believe them.
The 40-pound hopper will help you not to run out of pellets during a cook and on low, they claim you can do a 40-hour cook.
The only thing I miss is a hopper cleanout.
The controller shelf can also be used as a side table and is sturdy enough for a heavy plate.
I like the fact that the controller can increase the temperature by 5 degrees at a time and not in large steps like some of the other brands do.
This is also one of the few pellet grills that is a grill because it can reach a 500+°F (260+°C) temperature. You can use the searing kit and use it as a real grill.
You still need to keep the lid closed to do this. The reason is that pellets can not get as hot as propane or charcoal.
The heavy-duty pull handle makes it easy to move the grill around although I think the wheels could be a little larger if you consider the weight.
Do you like gadgets? In that case, the WiFi option to check your temperature from your phone or computer is great for you.
I read that your phone has to be unlocked for this feature to work.
When you order this grill it is of great quality and ready to use, but if you like to add something like the front folding table, you have to fork out quite some extra money.
There is an automatic shutdown feature and it is advised to use this to make sure the grill shuts down the right way.
The quality of the lid and the grill chamber is pretty thick steel and I have not read any problems with lower outdoor temperatures affecting the temperature in the grill.
You have to remember that you will use more pellets when it’s colder outside of course.
All the wires that go from the controller into the grill are wired to holes with rubber grommets to protect your wires.
The setting LO will display the real temperature in your cooking chamber when you turn the know above 200 degrees and will give you the lowest temperature possible. In this setting, extreme smoke will be active.
The setting FUL will display the real temperature when you turn the knob higher than 500 degrees and this will give you the highest temperature.
All settings can be adjusted in the controller after you have turned it into test mode.
If you like to read the Recteq rt-700l manual you can do that here and find out even more than I wrote down here for you.
Overall I think that the Recteq Bull RT-700 pellet grill is a top-of-the-line product and although it comes with a pretty high price tag it is worth every penny you pay for it in my opinion.

I found that using the Rec Tec grill mat is a great addition.
Tips from real users
Even though there are two meat probes to help you cook some killer meat I still suggest you have a fast digital pocket thermometer to help you out and double-check.
Recteq RT-700 Assembly
I found a video that shows how to assemble the rt-700 grill and it also shows the high quality.
I hope you enjoyed this Recteq rt-700 review and you found all the information you need to make a well-informed decision.
