Myron Mixon’s recipes for ribs and brisket are just as good as the bbq sauce he reveals in his two cookbooks. Smokin’ with Myron Mixon and Everyday Barbecue. Both are available in paperback and in a Kindle edition.

“I thought that I was experienced at BBQ/grilling, but after actually reading ‘Smokin’ with Myron Mixon’ I found so much information I hadn’t even considered before that my outdoor cooking has moved to a much higher level….”
“This is a “Great” book! I’m relatively new to smoking and, beyond the great recipes, Byron has given me a sense of confidence I didn’t have before! Today I made up the injection sauce, rub and glaze and am going to smoke up my first pork shoulder tomorrow….and I feel confident that it will turn out really great! Thanks, Myron! His writing is really good and down to earth, I felt like I was talking to him in person, like a friend, and he conveyed to me that smoking can be easy and he took away my fear of the “awesome smoke monster”…(read more here: Smokin’ with Myron Mixon Review)”

Every Day Barbeque by Myron Mixon
The subtitle is called ” At home with America’s favorite pitmaster.
I don’t know how true this is because there are people who call Myron arrogant and even worse.
But the man knows how to grill and smoke that is just a fact we can not deny.
With a 4.5 star rating from over 125 people, I think they can not all be wrong.
This book will tell you all about the essentials of the bbq and how to cook all kinds of meat like:
burgers, sandwiches, smoking, and all kind of other recipes.
“Bought his other book about smoking meat and expected a little more from this book. The recipes are for a lot of leftover bbq meats as well as some other dishes which I thought were uninteresting as we already know how to cook most of them. The author also cooks at a higher temperature and uses equipment I could not afford to own….”
“This is a good BBQ book for outdoor grilling and smoking. The rubs are great although sugar based which I cut back on. The BBQ sauce is the real gem here. It’s got a good bite and it works great as a final glaze on meat. The versatility of the marinade is good too. I have used the marinade as an injection for both chicken and pork….(read more here: Everyday Barbeque review)”
I have to be honest that I did not read everything that people wrote about this book, but quite a lot of it.
What I read most is that it is filled with a lot of great tips and recipes for beginners and more experienced backyard grillers. Like someone wrote there is something for everyone in this book and, to be honest after writing these reviews I put Myron Mixon’s cookbooks on my wishlist.
