I am probably the messiest eater in the world and am famous for making stains on my shirts.
Since I like to slap a lot of BBQ sauce on things such as ribs it is almost certain that I spill something. And sometimes that is on my clothes.
So, What is the best way to remove BBQ sauce stains?
How To Begin
I know there is not just one way to remove stains but the best way to start is by scraping off as much of the sauce as possible with a spoon.
Whatever you do, don’t rub the stain. This will only make it go deeper into the fabric and make it harder to remove.
Steps To Remove BBQ Sauce Stains
For the next step, I have found several options.
Step 1
- Rince from the back with cold water.
- Soak the stain in water to dilute the sauce.
Step 2
Soak the stain with laundry detergent and let it sit for a while. This will help to soften the oil that is in the sauce.
Step 3
Rinse again with cold water.
Step 4
For stubborn stains use Peroxide by using a sponge and dipping it on the stain.
“Warning: You can also use vinegar but newer mix Peroxide and vinegar. This will form an acid and fumes that can hurt your skin or eyes.”
Step 5
Add a new blast of laundry soap and rub it in with your fingers.
Step 6
Put it in the washer with detergent.
