Grill surface and temperature
The grill surface is 72 square inches and this will in my opinion not hold 5 servings. You can put a few nice-sized burgers on it, but 5 is a little bit much unless you make them small.
The outside measurements are 13 x 11 inches and the grill surface is 12 x 6 inches.
The temperature is great and I found no problems with that. The grill works great for meat and sandwiches.
Cleaning the ceramic grill plates is very easy and people even claimed it is easier to clean than the non-stick other models.
Just wipe them down with a paper towel. You can put the ceramic plates in the dishwasher even in the top rack I read.
I still advise trying not to do this too much since it might affect the ceramic coating.
The removable plates come off pretty easily and this makes it easier to clean of course.

Removable plates are making cleaning very easy to do with just a paper towel.
The ceramic coating on this George Foreman is better than the so-called Teflon coatings on other grills.
Ceramic does not contain the dangerous chemicals that are in Teflon.
The sloped surface makes the grease drain fast and this makes the meat cook very lean.
The grease drains into the drip pan and this is also easy to remove for cleaning in the dishwasher.
Ready light works a little strange and there are a few problems with them it seems.
The red light means that the power is on and the green light should turn off as soon as the grill surface is hot and ready to cook.
This does not seem to work sometimes and we read advice that if it does not work preheating for 8 minutes should be doing the trick.
The floating hinges work well and keep the pressure from the top horizontal and cook the meat or sandwiches even.
This makes it great for Panini sandwiches.
The cost of using this electric grill is basically very low. 1000Watts is 1KW and the average cost is 12 cents per KW/hr. This means this grill cost you on average 12 cents per hour of use.
