Let’s be honest. The turkey is the main course at our Thanksgiving dinner. We all look forward to that nice feeling after dinner that is caused by eating turkey. The feeling that you would like to take a nap.!
There are tons of recipes for cooking a turkey for this, in my opinion, the top holiday of the year.
Every family has its tradition and way to cook a turkey. I have seen them cooked in the oven, in a deep fryer, on a smoker and they will probably all taste good. One way is to brine a turkey first.
Last year I had a totally different experience than all the years before. I have tasted some really good turkeys, but this one was one of the best I ever tasted.
My best Thanksgiving turkey ever
We were spending Thanksgiving with my wife’s sister and brother-in-law and my brother-in-law, just like me, liked to grill so I thought he grilled it.
When I asked him how he cooked it he had a smile on his face and said. “I’ll show you later”.
After most people went home he took me to the garage and showed me what he used to cook this great turkey.
I was surprised. it was a Char Broil infrared oil less turkey fryer.
There are a few things I like about this oil-less turkey fryer. Like the names already give it away. This fryer does not use any oil. And if you like me and have ever seen a video of a burning oil turkey fryer, you want to stay away from them as far as you can.
